Farmers Market to be sold at County Sheriff's Sale
For nearly 20 years, the Frankenmuth Farmers Market has been a Saturday morning and Wednesday afternoon staple for Frankenmuth-area residents and the various vendors who brought their produce and wares to the facility.
The status of the market’s future is currently in limbo as it is in foreclosure due to defaulted loans, leaving the non-profit 501c3 registered entity possibly without a home for the upcoming summer and fall.
The market, located at 534 North Main Street, will be up for bids at the Saginaw County Sheriff’s Sale, with bidding set to begin at 9am Friday, April 12, at the Saginaw County Courthouse. This foreclosure date has been fluid since USDA Rural Development must provide approvals for each step in the liquidation plan. ......
